Kapahaka at the polyfest
We went on the double decker bus to get to the Poly fest. When we got there we had to put our bags in the basketball court. The senior school went up on the stage to do kapa haka. The senior school was great! One of the younger kids from our school named Andre performed in a different group of kids. by Lucy

Marshmallow Sammies
Look at the amazing learning we have been doing about writing instructions.
Try making them yourself using Lucy's instructions.
1 You need a plate.
2 You need a packet of biscuits and marshmallows.
3 A microwave oven to cook them in.
4 Put the biscuits in the microwave.
5 Get a marshmalow and put it on one biscuit and put another biscuit on the top.
6 Now cook for 20 seconds.
7 When you take it out let it cool off for 25 seconds.
8 Now stuff your face!
Let us know how well these instructions work!

Super star Students
In the last weeks of term we had two super stars, as we had a special award to give out for the International Science Festival that was held in Dunedin, as well as our assembly award.
Kane won our assembly award for his amazing, creative magic hat! We are hoping to hang our gorgeous creations from the rafters when we move back into our beautiful new classroom in the next few weeks. Well Done Kane!
Lucy won a special science award for her very clever thinking when we were working on chemical reactions with Miss Trainor. Lucy is very good at explaining how reactions happen and why she thinks they do. Tino Pai Lucy.
