Well ten days ago our caterpillars made their cocoons. We read a book about monarch butterflies that says it takes about ten days for them to change into butterflies. I wonder if we will find a surprise when we get back to school after the long weekend?

Hi Rm2 -any progress on the cocoons yet?Have they turned black and see through? i checked our swan plant and we have two of the tiniest caterpillars you have ever seen!!!I hope they survive the yukky weather outside.
